Well I’m glad I sent you that now, after finding out you love Sunset Rubdown! I love them too, and Wolf Parade also – actually I’m kind of biased to any band from Montreal (my fave city in the world!) Have you ever heard the Handsome Furs? They’re pretty badass as well.

In other music-related Wes news, I found a youtube interview with the Silversun Pickups (another one of my fave bands), where the interviewer asked them what filmmaker they would like to write music for, and who do you think they said? Wes, of course!

Yeah I went to see Public Enemies today and went 30 minutes early just to see that trailer before Ice Age, and was very disappointed. At least the other trailers were new, and not another G-Force trailer. Seriously that movie needs to never come out.

I work at a movie theatre, came in to work early today and even started Ice Age 3 five minutes early so I could go downstairs and watch the trailer. No Mr.Fox, but 21st Cent. Fox will be releasing “Planet 51″, “Aliens in the Attic”, “Alivn and the Chipmunks II” soon. I guess the day isn’t entirly wasted, right? Right?

I’m dissapointed but not entirely surprised. We we going off confident speculation at best. Oh well, I’m sure it’ll be worth the wait.

If it IS coming out in November though, they need to start promotion.

(as you pointed out) I think it will be good for ghettoized genres like Animated feature and documentary. But I wish they would not put a limit on the number and just require movies to reach a set threshold of votes, however many make it will be up for nomination.
