Petition: Criterion Collection Darjeeling Limited
We, the undersigned, respectfully ask Fox and the Criterion Collection to release a Criterion edition of The Darjeeling Limited. All of Wes Anderson’s other films have received (Rushmore, The Royal Tenenbaums, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou) or will receive (Bottle Rocket) the Criterion treatment. TDL, the most recent film of this contemporary auteur, deserves the same.
Signed,

Absolutely.
It deserves the Criterion treatment!
we’ve waited long enough!
I can’t think of anything different from what has or is already going to be said. So, with that in mind - I agree.
A loud and resounding yes.
It well deserves it.
I totally want a Darjeeling criterion dvd!
Indeedly.
Yes multiplied by infinite…twice!
It would be foolish not to.
if Armageddon gets the criterion treatment and Darjeeling doesn’t I am going to explode.
Please
it would actually sell on DVD if there was a criterion. the current edition is not complete (like the first/only edition of bottle rocket). Criterion would give an audio commentary, more behind the scenes, a booklet and art work from eric anderson.
yes i agree. this movie would make way more money if it was a criterion dvd.
Please! The current DVD packing is dreadful and doesn’t sit well on a shelf with my other Wes Anderson Criterion-ized films.
I have collected all of Wes Anderson’s films in the Criterion Collection and I would greatly desire the same for The Darjeeling Limited. Thanks.
It deserves it.
i was so disappointed with the dvd. i could hardly wait to get home and listen to the commentary, boo hoo!! the joke was on me!!! and what was with the ‘behind the scene footage?’ it was the same stuff on the net. come on fox searchlight… anyway this needs to be on a criterion dvd ASAP!! nothing beats criterion
Just like many others petitioners I too have all of Anderson’s films on Criterion. It would be an easy buy for me. I felt that Darjeeling was one of the most liberating film last year and deserves the Criterion treatment.
Fo shizzle
Simply yes.
Do it. Seriously. Do it.
Hear hear!
Nothing beats a Criterion DVD.
please oh please.
Much needed. Think of the fantastic cover art and packaging, not to mention all the added features!
I’d gladly own a criterion version of TDL.
Definitely would purchase it, definitely deserves the criterion treatment.
Please Criterion, take my money.
as far as i’m concerned, no wes anderson film is complete without a commentary.
I’d buy one.
put me down for one
I would definitely buy one.
This films needs a Criterion Dvd treatment!
I live for special features. The current edition is craptastic.
Do It
This one needs to be on criterion.
Please make this a Criterion Edition.
Please put this on criterion
Yes Please!
Why not? I am sure that there are a lot of interesting features about this wonderful picture. A Criterion DVD will be very appreciate.
make it so!
Oh Yes
Please add this to the Criterion Collection
This film is simply brilliant and very moving. Anderson’s best work since Rushmore…and that is saying ALOT. Please release this on Criterion. It deserves it.
“When one man, for whatever reason, has the opportunity to lead an extraordinary life, he has no right to keep it to himself”
The same applies to releasing quality films on Criterion.
i loved darjeeling so much but can’t bring myself to buy it until i can get a criterion version since it would seem like such a waste! hurry!!
Please Criterion-ize TDL!
I will not buy this movie until it is out on Criterion. Better yet…how about making this the very first Criterion Blu-Ray Disk?
PLEASE!
Please add TDL to Criterion!
Certainly!
It’s great that Criterion has properly showed us the evolution of this great director. It should continue on. I’m a bother a huge criterion and Anderson fan.
It would look so nice next to the others…
Please make a Criterion edition since the 20th Century Fox edition doesn’t have enough extras on it, I need more Darjeeling!
It deserves the Criterion treatment!
please?
Yes Please!
It would be, magnificent**
Work out whatever the problem is so we can complete the uncomplete set!
Definately worth a criterion.
I agree
Please releas TDJ as Criterion Collection!!
This movie deserves this more than just about any other American film I can think of made in the new millennium.
I want to buy it, but I won’t.
Not until it is available on Criterion.
Make it happen.
You need my $30.
hell yah
I thank you in advance for your wise decision.
my heart broke when I found out this wasn’t on criterion! Seriously, best Wes film to date and not on Criterion? for shame…
please, please, PLEASE release it on Criterion!!!
Darjeeling needs a criterion release. i want some special features.
If you Criterion The Darjeeling Limited, I’ll promise to try and not complain about Armageddon.
Already own the existing version but won’t hesitate to buy me some of that Criterion love. And may I suggest that the liner notes form a 3D Pop-Up train? You could put even put pictures of the characters on those slider-tab things in the windows.
Amazing movie
Criterion edition would be awesome.
Hell yea release that shit!
I would definitely buy it.
Absolutely
Please release it…..
Criterion is the only way to view an Anderson film on DVD. I would also purchase a Criterion version of Bottle Rocket if one was available.
I’m shocked that there already isn’t one.
I would purchase a Criterion “The Darjeeling Ltd.” DVD. I already own the current edition which suffers greatly from a lack of commentary, but I would still happily pay for what I believe to be a better product.
I would purchase numerous copies for myself and friends if a criterion copy of Darjeeling Limited were released!
Word.
This is my favorite of his movies. That means Criterion needs to release it.
I absolutely agree.
For the greater good of quality home entertainment, please consider the tremendous value in releasing a Criterion edition of The Darjeeling Limited!
I have all of Anderson’s films on Criterion and am severely dissapointed that Darjeeling Limited was not released as a Criterion dvd. I felt that the film was among his best and deserves to be part of the collection. At this point I am severely dissapointed with the dvd market as a whole, and am begging the people who have some say in this matter to, for once, stop thinking about money and start thinking about the art of filmmaking. This travesty ranks up there with Armageddon and The Rock, but for the opposite reason of course.
Please, we need our fix of Anderson Criterion
Absolutley. The Darjeeling Limited, in my opinion, is one of his best films to date.
Please, i’d would like to see some deleted scenes
