From what I can tell, the super-special edition has two extra discs with it, as well as an 80 page yearbook type thing. Some of the extra-extras sound pretty cool, but I don't think I can justify paying $60 or more for a couple of discs of extras and a book I'll read maybe twice. The episodes and whatever extras come in the regular set will have to suffice (and suffice they will).

Oh my god! Tapes of this were like gold dust where I am, because the series was only broadcast once on digital and never in its entirety. The ones we did have did the rounds in my office though.
Freaks And Geeks was such a great show... I hope they release it on DVD here in the UK too. I'll have to try and put the word out...

so the DVD finally comes out tomorrow. (unless you got the super cool deluxe package from the website, which has already been shipped i think).

i couldn't afford that one, so i'm psyched for tomorrow's release.
cheapest that i've found it so far is $44.18 at Circuit City this week. not too shabby at all..

I have it!
Anyone else?

I didn't get the super-de-duper edition, because the regular one still has lots of goodies. I've only watched the pilot so far. I'm going to saaaavor this.

Mandingo. I grock your mouth music. -- The Tick

It's number 4 on my Netflix list with a "very short wait".

This is simply one of the greatest shows ever created and I've only seen 3 episdoes so far.

I finally decided to buy the set without ever having seen a second of the show, but fed up of hearing my friends constantly quote it and me not knowing what the hell they were talking about. Now I love everything about it and, although I just started watching, I'm dreading it to end...

Why shows like this and AD were cancelled/in process of being cancelled is really mind boggling and infurating.

I have the yearbook-style internet-only edition. I normally hate tv, but I love this show.

In honor the 10th anniversary of the premiere of the show, Matt Zoller Seitz has crafted a lovely video essay rememberance for L Magazine. Watch it here.
