Fishing with John is a show that apparently aired on IFC once upon a time. I don't know loads about the series, and I've only watched the first episode, but it's really great. Tremendously funny, and well done.

John Lurie takes a (celebrity) friend fishing every episode ...and that's about all there is to the show. Episode 1's guest fisher is Jim Jarmusch, whose Stranger than Paradise is the only other thing I think I've seen with John Lurie, but google tells me Lurie is a musician, artist and actor!

I just saw these all this summer and they're unbelievably amazing. They're not all incredible, but there's more than enough weirdness to make up for it. I also love how nearly every "fact" is not in any way true.
