Did she talk about what's next for her?

Someone asked her about that, and she was vague -- she said she was sorta working on a book, but it was taking a while since she was doing things like the Festival.

She talked about her audio books, in response to a question. She said when she realized that Party Cloudy Patriot would be seven hours long, she thought, "Wow! That's a lot of Vowell!" And in PCP she wrote of her angry friend, Kevin, with whom she attended the first Bush inauguration, and she had a vision of a cd box with the credit "And Norman Mailer as Kevin." That sold her on doing an audiobook! She said she also thought that since an audiobook is usually not shelved with the books, but with, say, LL Cool J, it should be more exciting. She also said she was glad she wasn't reading next to any other tents, (she was speaking outside), because usually she is, and the next day The Oregonian or whatever the local newspaper is called mentions in an article that say, Ursula K. LeGuin was drowned out by the squawking of Ms. Vowell.

She was obviously nervous - she read fast - but not uncomfortably so. She was cuter in real life -- she can photograph very pale. And when I go to work tomorrow, I'm going to tell the kids in my library that I got to meet the woman who did the voice of Violet Paar. :)

I love America. Just because I think gay dudes should be allowed to adopt kids and we should all have hybrid cars doesn't mean I don't love America.

You should definitely check out Assassination Vacation on audio CD! Not only do you get to listen Sarah reading Sarah, you get to listen to others such as Jon Stewart reading as President Garfield!
