I've been listening to this on CD, and about half way through, it has knocked me out. It's by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, the first novel from this Nigerian author. It has a great sense of place (modern Nigeria), character development (teens w/ a nasty dad who also is a newspaper publisher who opposes the military regime coup), a plot that keeps your interest and educates you.

The narrator is a native of South Africa, and her reading is excellent.
