A few of Owen's lines as Hutch are similar to ones from Bottle Rocket:

1. Like someone posted earlier, Owen (as Hutch) calls his little-brother figure "a cute little kid," the same words he used to describe Anthony's sister Grace in B.R.

2. When the naked cheerleader apologizes for not knowing enough about her drug dealer ex-boyfriend, Owen tells her to stop! Don't apologize -- He did the same thing when sitting in the diner, telling Anthony not to treat him like the jealous friend.

3. Son of a bitch! Owen says this -- twice -- when Starsky's car overshoots Vince Vaughn's yacht at the end of the movie. It reminded me of Owen's reaction when Bob stole his car (that he accuses Bob of "stealing" his own car still makes me laugh.)

I think there were a couple others, but I can't think of them now. Anyway, I loved Starsky and Hutch -- lots of laughs, and Will Farrell's scene is flat-out hilarious. Two dragons!

I noticed those similarities too...There was also a similarity to Shanghai Knights..At the begining when Owen says "I'm always looking out for numero uno", is like what he says in Shanghai Knights when Charlie Chaplain says "Hey, you ate my last chocolate!" and then Roy O'Bannon says to Charlie, "You gotta look out for number one, kid." <p>"Richard Gere, he's a real hero of mine....Sting, Sting would be another person who's a hero. The music that he's created over the years, I don't really listen to it. But the fact that he's making it, I respect that."</p>
