Dear Wes,

I am a fan of fox-related animated classics. Fantastic Mr. Fox has now been added to my list of films falling under this slightly niche genre... so now I have in my collection:

Disney's Robin Hood
Fantastic Mr. Fox.

(If you can recommend more titles please let me know, the Fox and the Hound does not count as the cunning spirit of the fox was not captured well in this film. However it is still a rather lovely tale... pun intended).

I was happy that you gained inspiration from Disney's Robin Hood (a truly wonderful film) and used the song 'Love' by Floyd Huddleston and George Bruns (and sung by Nancy Adams). I think this was a nice touch. Well done you.

You're expecting a reply from Wes?

One can always hope. I misplaced his personal email address a while back and assumed this would work better than floating 3 bottles with identical notes in them to separate addresses:

1. Across the Atlantic, around the pan handle, into Galveston Bay and up the river to Houston
2. To Paris via La Seine
3. To New York (a bit less technical)

Wish me luck

Good luck - although maybe the bottles aren't such a bad idea.

You need to watch Ladislas Starewicz's The Tale of the Fox (1937) its on youtube, and its awesome, undoubtedly an inspiration for fantastic mr fox the film. also, its not quite fox related, but hit up Yuri Norstein's Hedghog in the Fog (1975), that's really amazing. You can see where wes got all his influences from. I vote another animated Wes Anderson film please, that would be just wonderful. Everybody agree?
