Our Buddy Robert Yeoman filmed Get Him to the Greek, I went to see it and was happy to see a little in joke when "Bob and the Yeoman" was on a marquee as a band sharing the bill the main characters.

I noticed that too.

It proves a great DP needs a great filmmaker too, because that movie is entirely unremarkable in the filmmaking department. (Save for that kind of awesome slow-motion steadi-cam shot of Brand and Hill running from Diddy.)

There's an interview with Eric Chase Anderson at Style.com. Best part is that he's selling prints of some of coolest work from Darjeeling, Aquatic, Tenenbaums, and his own Chuck Dugan.

Have any of you heard Jason Schwartzman's band Coconut Records? Wes himself has said in interviews how much he loves their music, it is very Andersonian style stuff, makes sense really seeming as he and Jason Schwartzman are such close friends. Anyway it's amazing, especially West Coast and Wandering Around those are my favourites! Has anyone else heard of them? I'd LOVE to know your thoughts.

This is a bit off topic for the front page, but I thought I'd share here. Jason Schwartzman has been working with Farm Sanctuary to raise awareness of factory farm conditions and the general grossness of the meat/dairy/animal product industry. He narrated a kind of hokey short film called "What to eat," and he did an enjoyable promo video for the film.

He was interviewed, too.

re: Coconut Records - I have both of their albums. I still can't believe he hasn't performed live on late night TV. I'm sure he could the same night he gets interviewed if he wanted. I'm not sure if it has ever been a 'real' band or not. May be studio only.
