I'm just wondering does anyone know if Bottle Rocket was released in Australia? Because I'm having difficulty finding a copy.

Thanks.

I don't think it ever was because I could never find it and ended up buying it from America.

Yeah, I'm beginning to think it was only released in the US. I've been looking for it for a while. I went into blockbuster the other day and asked if they had it, and the clerk looked at me like I had two heads. (I have three.) ;)

I'll prolly end up getting it off Ebay. Ah, the wonders of multizone dvd players. :)

I got mine off Amazon along with The Minus Man, another Owen film not released here. :(

I know of some people here who have seen BR but I don't know how. Maybe it had a very limited release and that's all. None of the larger chain stores have it....

Two of my best friends, Lisa and Brenda (who live in Las Vegas and Los Angeles respectivley) are amazed I haven't seen BR yet. It's their favourite movie. (Actually, it's Lisa's. Brenda's is 'Tenenbaums'.)
I thought it was just due to my (past!)general Anderson/Wilson film ignorance that I hadn't see it, LOL.
But I guess the fact that it may not have been released outside the US doesn't help, either. ;)

I naturally thought it would be available here and actually paniced a little when I couldn't find it anywhere thinking I'll never see this movie! Maybe some small independent video stores might have it, I don't know... but the best bet is the old ebay/amazon thing, tho it's an expensive DVD for some reason.

I've been looking on Ebay and Amazon..and it's upwards of US$22.00 :eek
By the time you pay for postage and conversion rates and money orders etc. it comes to around $80.00........so I think I'll see if Minotaur in Elizabeth St. has it first, before I order it from the US.
Now that you mention it, I'm pretty sure that Minotaur had a copy of the Minus Man DVD the last time I was there. They have all sorts of obscure and quasi-obscure stuff. :D
Good movies make you care, make you believe in possibilities again.

Quite a few video stores have it around here (I'm in Brisbane) - even Videoezy. It's not available to buy, though.

Thanks, but I've long since bought the DVD from the US.
