What was the purpose of the scene where it's just 5 seconds of James Caan singing "Welcome back home cuz' Bob's got a beautiful house." and playing the piano? I was confused when I saw it. What're your thoughts? Do you know why they snuck that in there? Tell me then!

Mr. Henry is basically just licking his chops at the thought of the burglary he will be pulling off at the Maplethorpes' expense. I think that scene is in there to show you what a piece of crap Abe Henry wound up being in the end, and how he really pulled a fast one on the "gang". " ...and my name's Dignan man, so what?! "

yup. I think Young Nastyman nailed it. Eww. That just looks dirty.
But it doesn't change the fact that I agree. Mr. Henry is a total prick and gets off on messing with their minds-look how he treated Dignan all the time. The funny thing about that scene (one of them) is that they are digging his song. All smiles. " He flew the coop while we were sleepin'!"

I think that really brief part is hilarious for some reason, because, like what was said above, everyone likes his song and then later he robs Bob's house. I always try to point it out when I am watching it with people who are seeing it for the first time. (But they usually don't get it)
