When Bill Murray is lighting a new cigarette with a nearly finished one still lit in his mouth as they're leaving the hospital to visit the Dean (I believe). He pours a drink out of a little bottle in his pocket into a can of coke (?) and the look on Jason's face is priceless. It looks like some of the dialogue and Bill's chain smoking is ad-libbed because as Bill says the line about how fucked up the teacher is over applebee as he's lighting the cig, well Jason almost loses it and allllllmooost breaks character by laughing. I love that moment.

Runners Up:

The work-out at the plant.
Watching the Twins wrestle and then Max suddenly goes out to wrestle as a replacement.
Also love when Max gets his "Rushmore" inspiration back and asks his little junior friend to start taking notes for new clubs out on the mini-airfield. He still has his "Rushmore" without actually attending there.

for me it woulde be:

*the clubs montage scene.

*the "you are forgiven" scene (fave of all time)

*the "summer song" scene

*the restaraunt scene is pretty hilarious.

* the "oh yoko" scene

* and the scene with the dance.

definitely gum-on-the-wall. this and the 2000-man-scene in br changed the way i look at films, it showed me how great cinema could be, what great feelings it can stir up. when i saw that scene i had goosebumps and knew this was something special. and those two scenes also changed my musical taste because i became a huge fan of the who and the rolling stones and i still am.

My favorite scene is definitely the restaurant scene after Serpico. So many good lines in that scene.

I love the scene in which Blume says, "I don't know what you see in her Max" as he's spying on her. This, of course, followed by or preceded by (?) him stuffing the random kid playing basketball.

"Could I see some documentation on that . . . Post-graduate year . . . well, not yet."

The best scene is the one in the elevator, not the gum-on-the-wall, but with the disheveled Blume and Max.
"So who gave you the shiner?"

"She's in love with a dead guy anyway."
"Edward Appelby."
"...It's sweet, but it's fucked up."

I love the putting of the booze into the diet Coke and then under the hospital blankets, and the continuous smoking.

And possibly the greatest quote of the ENTIRE movie:
"Hey, are you ok?"
"Hm... I'm a little bit lonely these days."

Sums the whole thing up beautifully

Best Scene:

"I like your nurse's uniform, guy."

"These are O.R. scrubs."

"O.R. they?"
