yay!
oh hi, i am tara and i used to post here once upon a time awhiles ago..then i confess i stopped posting because i have a problem with commitment. And also because i was in my senior year of highschool and was all crazy. But yay! Now i am at pretend art college in new york, and I was just thinking about how I used to love posting here. Even if i didn't post I loved to read what other people would post about my favorite films and my fave director.
Anyway i am posting again to apologize for my lack of commitment(even though i'm sure none of you know who i am) and to just share a joyous moment:
i recently showed the royal tenenbaums to a group of my friends here, and to my secret surprise, they were all into it and totally loved it and even talked about it when it was over. I know you are asking why i was surprised at people liking one of the best movies ever, but you have to understand: i have never met anyone my age who actually loved this movie when they first saw it. And i just totally shared the joy of the royal tenenbaums with like 6 other people. YAY YAY

anyway i just kinda wanted to say that i am so very happy that i came to this forum thingy thing again and that there are people that know what makes a good film good. it makes me all warm and fuzzy inside...i know it was a kind of dumb reason to post...but i promise, i will post many intellectual and philosophical ideas in the future to make up for it. (i'll try)

hoorah for wes anderson!

Welcome back, tara!

(not a very intellectual post, but the only purpose of this post was to say "welcome back" in all its simplicity)

I totally remember you, tara, welcome back!

What is the 'fake art college' business? Doesn't matter where you attend, sweetie, it's what you do with what you learn.

Best of luck to you there! :)

Incidentally, I recently met someone who gave TRT a C-. !!! I coulda died. Dead. :x

"We just passed Musgrave Real Estate. And very nice little mansionettes they were too, though stained, probably, with adulterous blood of yore." - JWH

thanks for the welcome

pretend art school...i dunno...i go to fit, which is really a business oriented art school. i like it, i really do. i think i started calling it pretend art school, because whenever my mother tells people where her daughter goes, she says, "art school".

but you are absolutely right, and i will make the best of it :)
