Can someone please explain to me the subtleties behind the 2 disc collector's edition released in the UK of TRL versus the Criterion release? I'm a bit confused, I thought that TRL was strictly a Criterion release. I ask because I'm purchasing a copy from the UK as a gift for a friend of mine who is living in Austria (thus the region 2 issue) and want to make sure she is getting a good edition as I have only experienced the Criterion! Thank you.

FYI here is how the UK (region 2) special edition DVD sleeve looks like:

What's interesting is that the cover of the Criterion collection looks like a used book with some time to it but this one looks like a real neat, fine book.

Whack on the echo box!

Yeah I totally dig the vintage book cover look, it's a nice touch. I am also a bit puzzled with the little strip of white on the bottom. I think I'm going to get this copy, it comes with several postcard style photos of Richie, Margot, and Royal. My friend will love it.
