Who else hear has read her books? I've read 'Prozac Nation' and 'More, Now, Again.' I've yet to read her 'middle' book, 'Bitch.' Has anyone read 'Bitch'? I'm waiting for a copy to come in at the library. It seems like it might be the most academic of all her books. She has this wonderful way of writing that just draws you in. Even when you don't particularly like what she's talking about, you still want to know what happens next.
Good movies make you care, make you believe in possibilities again.

I'm distressed about the path that Ms. Wurtzel has taken of late. I was very intrigued by Prozac Nation. Bitch was, IMHO, a mere attempt at academia. If you read the third book, tho, you'll realize that she wrote Bitch in the middle of a drug induced stupor. She is a really promising writer - i still count PN as a fantastic read. She needs to shape up, tho.

i first read "prozac nation" in highschool and have revisited the book several times since.
have you guys heard anything lately about "prozac nation" the film? i thought a release date had been set for late last year, but i haven't read any more about it for a long while.
i'm still not sure how i feel about this movie. despite it's fascinating story line, "prozac nation" could quite easily become a melodramatic mess of a movie, depending on the script and direction. does anyone know if ms. wurtzel have a hand in producing the screenplay?

The only things I know about Prozac Nation (the movie) is that Christina Ricci both stars and is an executive producer. Michelle Williams ( Dawson's Creek), Jason Biggs and Anne Heche are also in it. The film seems to have been plagued with release date issues...I've read things that suggest if the release hassles continue it might go straight to video, which, IMHO, would be a great shame.
Good movies make you care, make you believe in possibilities again.
