does anyone remember the adventures of pete and pete on nickelodeon?
i was one of the only kids my age who loved this show while it was on (everyone accused it of being too weird), and i recently got ahold of the entire series on VCD.
has anyone else seen it?

Now I could swear there were some Racers singing Pete and Pete's praises a few weeks ago. Come out, come out, P and P fans! <p><!--EZCODE HR START--><hr /><!--EZCODE HR END-->Mandingo. I grock your mouth music. -- The Tick</p>

i love everything about that show. the fact that little pete has the petunia tatoo. stu, the bus driver. artie, the strongest man in the world. the cameos by steve buschemi. the show is a work of art.

if you havent seen the movie "snow Day" watch it. it was origionally going to be pete and pete the movie.

My freind Maris was on that show, she was the girl scout. I still love that show and I'm 21! Do they have it on DVD? I hardly ever see it on tv anymore( I think they used to play old episodes on Nogin) Anyone know? It was actually a really mellow-dramatic show wasn't it? For more odd ball children I think. Maybe its why I turned out the way I did!! :D

Yeah, I've got a few episodes on my computer. Great show. I'd have gotten the whole series on vcd to, (ebay) but there were more episodes and it was going for a higher rate. So I got salute your shorts instead. But thats a great show too. :)

although as old pete got older the show got weaker.
but steve buscemi's and iggy pop's cameos were always fun. <p>"Pudding can't fill the emptiness inside me... but it'll help!" - Captain Murphy (Sealab 2021)</p>

The first season just came out on DVD and retails for around $20 most everywhere. Its pretty weak on the special features, but it does come with like 4 bonus episodes that I think aired before the first season which is pretty cool, although even Big Pete seems really young.

I think my favorite thing about the show is how Big Pete narrates childish things so seriously. For example, with the straightest face in the world, Big Pete will say "So we had to call Artie, the strongest man in the world" without any sense of sarcasm or anything.

The show was well before its time, and missunderstood. Its too bad a lot of people don't get such great humour and storytelling.

Go buy the DVDs!

Dan

i downloaded season 1 and i am currently watching it and it feels just so great. i remember seeing the show on german nickelodeon when i was like 8 or 9 years old and it was so great watching it back then with your friends. it's just so weird and fun and it makes the 90s look so much better and makes you feel great about your own school days.
also i see exactly why wes-anderson-fans would love the show. i bet it was some sort of influence on him.

Sadly, the third season will not be released cause the people at Paramount are evil.
