Exactly. Good point with the "calm center." I totally agree.

And if he had not done that census with the flight manifest? Oh my gosh. Ethan may have done a lot more damage.

wow! this thread is kinda dead... i mean, more than half the posts are missing...

anyways... anyone seen the season 2 premiere on wednesday? i was away and only saw it moments ago, but it was pretty good methinks.

SPOILERS AHEAD

i was kinda hoping for something more interesting down there in the hatch... and when desmond showed up, i KNEW it was him down there. i mean, really... what i'm interested in is what happened to walt. and where's claire's baby? after being taken and almost swaped for whatever, ya'd think she'd hold the poor thing closer. ;' maybe that's just me... charlie was obnoctious this ep. maybe he's all doped up again.

this show irks me, really... i cannot help but watch it, but at the same time i'm fully aware that it's manipulative and not as much OMG!good, but OMG!i-wanna-know. have to give the writers credit, they do know their psychology 101 course-book.
~*~*~*~*~
reality had met me, such a short time ago, in such and ugly shape, that i have no wish to come in contact with it again. somewhere in me a dark fear was still crouching and i took refuge within the fantastic like a distressed child in his book of fairy tales. i did not want to look ahead, and not at all to look back. Two little tiny details:

Hurley's numbers were on the bottle of whatever Desmond was injecting.

The guy that died next to Jack's future wife - his last name was Rutherford, and I think that's Shannon's last name.

Now I want to know what Walt was saying.

Why are we not talking about this?

My rectum is in a knot. According to the previews for next week, somebody can do something that they allegedly were not supposed to be able to do. (Sorry to be so vague, but I don't want to spoil it for any thread regulars that may be watching via TiVo.)

Dude. I mean, I have come to accept that there is no way I will ever guess which way this show is going. The crazy, Mama Cass-lovin' Scotsman down the hatch? Duuuude.

What happened in the previews? I think ours got cut off.

Mandingo. I grock your mouth music. -- The Tick

I don't remember much about the previews, except that the very last clip was pretty crazy......

Wanna know it?

Yes! I remember now!! We rewound and watched it twice because we were trying to see if it was really his voice. Is someone hallucinating? Maybe a kind of vision, like Shannon had about Walt?

Mandingo. I grock your mouth music. -- The Tick

Well, it's possible, but I've thought all along that he probably spoke English.

So. The last episode.

I was snarking all the way through at stupid Jack being the Boss of the Hatch; and stupid Sawyer, mouthing off to what's-er-name, over and over again (Dude!! She. Has. A. Gun.) and then - the last scene with Rose's husband?

I just blubbered. :\

Mandingo. I grock your mouth music. -- The Tick

POSSIBLE SPOILERS BELOW!

poor hurley...

were they in their right mind tho? i mean, i don't want to sound discriminating or something, but is it really WISE to put a fat guy in charge of food/rationing? it was kinda cruel too, if you think of it. it's like putting an alcoholic in charge of the liquor bar. really, really really dumb and bordering on evil!

i liked the fact that rose's husband was alive. :) why do ppl like ana lucia? she kinda pisses me off. and so does sawyer.
~*~*~*~*~

So, did anyone else think that the SUn and Jin storyline was good cute? I liked the change in tone. And I liked that the other survivors finally started doing something and having personalitites.

I'm starting to get disappointed with the show now....

The writing is starting to seem just lazy to me. The show used to have a large story arc, but each episode also had its own arc. And the flashbacks were used as a way to reinforce the week's island story. I feel like now, the show itself is "Lost", trying to tackle too many story threads in every episode while not being able to really develop any of them. And while the flashbacks still reveal aspects of people's past, they aren't as closely tied to the current island stories as they used to be...

the Hurley episode last week was an exception to this though...it was much more like last year's episodes....it revealed info about his past as a way of understanding why he wanted to blow up the food etc....wish there were more episodes like that....

anyone else losing faith in the writers? I'm just not sure they've got the big master plan anymore.....

Place clever/witty saying or movie quote here.
