There's no Gilmore Girls thread! As Condi Rice seems to like to wonder, thrice in the same speech, How can it be?

I needed to be aghast about this show-ending line: "You and me. We're done."

:eek She is so. mad. I kind of enjoyed the workover Luke gave Christopher.

I'm going to tell you the same thing I told Al Mintzer and his pyramid of dogs: Take any job you can get, and don't make on the floor.

I haven't seen the show all season. Providence doesn't have its own WB network. Instead, the local UPN affiliate airs WB programs whenever the hell it wants, and for Gilmore Girls, that means Friday nights. Doesn't really work.

And whenever I hear people talking about this season, I have to run away and hide. I don't know what is happening to my beloved Rory. And this causes me a tremendous amount of pain.

I probably shouldn't have opened this thread. Pseudo-spoilers for me. So Christopher's back? Wait. Don't answer that.

Maybe this'll get you to set your VCR, Kumar: You don't even wanna know what's going on with your beloved Rory.

I think that Christopher dude appears in at least one episode per season. Isn't that the rule?

I'm going to tell you the same thing I told Al Mintzer and his pyramid of dogs: Take any job you can get, and don't make on the floor.

I don't have a VCR in my dorm. I could get my cousin (15 minutes away) to TiVo the show for me. But I still wouldn't know what happened earlier this season. So at this point, I have to wait until summer.
Quote:
You don't even wanna know what's going on with your beloved Rory.

:(

I love Gilmore Girls too!! I watch it and tivo it at the same time, just in case. Tuesdays episode was really good. I dont want Luke and Lorelai to break up though. I've been waiting FOREVER for them to get together and I will protest if they really breakup. I like Rory too; I like pointing her out every time I watch Rushmore.

she was in rushmore??? really? i've only recently aquired the wide-screen edition, and watched that only once, so maybe that's why i missed her, but... she was in rushmore?

was she by any chance in the classroom where max is having his silver-spoon speach? i thought a girl from there kinda looked like her, but i never gave it much thought.

LORELEI and LUKE ARE BREAKING UP???? why? i don't want that to happen... ;(
____________

Ahhhhh. I shouldn't be reading this thread. But I am anyway. I don't want to know any of this! Okay, I do.

And yes, morrigan, Rory is in the room when Max gives the speech. If I remember correctly, she's sitting right next to him. I know she's in the front row. And if I'm not mistaken, you can see her at the science fair as well.

I was deliciously horrified by that line, Highwaters. Emily is just awful... but I must confess, she always brings me around with one of her wicked, tilting smiles.

No, Luke and Lorelai aren't breaking up. (Unless you've been spoiled that they are... but I don't think so.) They just had a big ole argument.

Isn't Rory also on the dance floor at the end of Rushmore?

Mandingo. I grock your mouth music. -- The Tick

Yeah, what Duders said! Luke and Lorelai aren't breaking up! What're you talking about?!

Oh my god, you guys had me feeling like I watched from the top of a Close Encounters mashed potato mountain for a second there.

You did!

(I love Emily because she was the mom in Dirty Dancing. "Sit down, Jake." I can never hate her for very long.)

I'm going to tell you the same thing I told Al Mintzer and his pyramid of dogs: Take any job you can get, and don't make on the floor.

I love Edward Herrmann. I love him for the car commercials he did in the mid-90s when I didn't know who he was. I love him for being the voice of history. I love him for the Paper Chase. Hell, I even love him for Richie Rich (okay, I didn't know that was him when I saw Richie Rich in 1994, and I don't remember anything about the movie other than that it was bad).

His bit part in The Aviator was great too.

And I love all his "special appearances" in Gilmore Girls.

Edward Herrmann? I quote him every time I go to the grocery: Tofuti, Tofuti, where are you Toooofuuutiiii?

All these food references. I must be hungry or something.

I'm going to tell you the same thing I told Al Mintzer and his pyramid of dogs: Take any job you can get, and don't make on the floor.

Seriously: spoiler of a post here, Kumar. Go away from the thread.

GO! Shoo shoo shoo!

OK.

Did they even let us see L&L break up? Because I swear she gave chase, then took photo, and then the friggen boat was gone. Did I miss an episode? Just checking.

And if it don't improve . Then I have to move . I never thought that I would end up here . Maybe I should just change my style . But I feel alright when you smile. - Galaxie 500

Doooon't look, people who aren't caught up!

Highwaters, I didn't think they were broken up, either, based on the wedding show, but then the next episode they seemed to be. Did you see the one where Lorelai was crying in bed? And called up Luke all weepy? Luke was asking for time away to think, but Lorelai seemed to assume that they were done.

I hate that they have to have hoops. You know they're going to get back together near the end of the season, but there has to be a relationship "arc." :rolleyes

And I want to poke Logan with sharp things. Haaaate.

Mandingo. I grock your mouth music. -- The Tick

Tonight's rerun on ABC Family was the one where Sookie asks out Jackson, and they double with Lor and his creepy, weasel cousin who thinks she is a GIANT. I couldn't believe how rude he was! I felt like I was watching As Good As It Gets.

Bigtime spoilers afoot. Go go go!

So they got back together! That was quick. And why did I think Sookie already had the baby? What happened to the crazy midwife? Was that a whole 'nother season? I'm lost.

Snaps to Rory for being brisk with Emily, but ... if I were her, I'd have laid into her within five minutes. Why be a little jerk all night when you can be a huge jerk straight out of the gate?

I have a hard time believing that was in Lor's closet. Because hello. A sequined bolero? Gross.

What exactly is the deal with Logan? I only happened upon him in the wedding episode, unless he was the teasing boy at the paper. I think he was, now that I think about it. He's going to crush her into powdered Rory, isn't he. Damn that Logan.

I loved this tonight: "You're IN MY HEAD! Happy?!!!"

"CJ, never come to me with 'unnamed sources'. No cider for you."
