Sure, he sounds like a fun guy, but Taft could be a dick. He totally almost refused to sign our (AZ) little "you're a state!" paper. Didn't like that part about recalling elected officials. Mmhm. We use that allowance often. Totally do.

Also. She's a call girl, Kingsley, and her name is Lori. :rolleyes

;)

Have fun, Mister. I watched TLA on my dad's bigscreen, and I kept saying, "Ooooh, so much better here."

It's a common mistake, Kingsley, and one that Sam made often.

Maybe we can get Lori to ... you know ... give those hackers something better to do. Unless she passed the bar exam. That wouldn't be good. For her.

SO last night, when I reeeeally needed a good West Wing, I got instead the CJ HS Reunion, her Alzheimer's heartbreak, and The Promise of a New Generation.

That one. Every so often, there's just so little about an episode that makes me want to see it on a rerun.

It's like ... How can people watch ER reruns? Effing tragic! Every Thursday, tragedy, lots of it, all at a fast pace. And now they're reliving it on TNT! WHY?

Anyway.
So sad.
And the Food Channel sucked last night.

oh boy, sweet irony. tonight was the episode where Lori goes to the fancy White House diner with the sleazy congressman as "Britney". Good stuff.

Kingsley, I don't know how to ask you all covertly, but did you steal the cable? I hope you've been Netflixing. Also, I know you made a little typo, and I'm not making fun, but I wonder if there is such a place as the "White House Diner." What's THAT menu look like, I wonder.

That was a good episode. Lori's the bomb, all secure in her choices.

(I cannot stand that actress whose name I'm forgetting on that show House, though. They dress her in overly-fashioned suits and make her bra part of her outfit. Her part sucks and she looks ridiculous. Bring back Lori as a WH counsel!)

One of my favorite lines ever is when Bartlet says to Toby after Sam leaves the Oval in the graduation episode: "It's nice when we can help out a prostitute, isn't it?"

Always makes me laugh, even still.

I love that whole graduation episode. It's CJ's redemption day from the whole "relieved to be focusing on something that matters" woopsie.

Josh: "Joey says that you think there's only so many times you're going to be able to go into the Oval Office and sing a song."

No, as my little handle thing says I'm "f'ing innocent" when it comes cable. They repeat WW episodes here late at night at like 1 or so in the morning on one of the local stations. White House Diner, hmmmm, that could give the Waffle House a run for its money.

So Dule Hill and Timothy Busfield were on this contest today, and can I just say: I love Dule.

So does Mo Gaffney. And I love her, so it stands to reason that I would love The Dule. He's just cool.

I adore Tim Busfield too, though. Ever since thirtysomething, even though he was such a prick to Nancy. Tim's a good Democrat.

I never did catch the one that was all-West Wing. Toby, Danny, the Prez, Leo and CJ. How awesomely fun to watch.

Dule. He's got luck on his side. I don't know how he wins half of these hands, but he keeps winning the unwinnable on the river card. It's ridiculous.

Heh. I just typed a poker post. Random.

I saw WW poker showdown, it was aight. I seem to remember Sheen getting knocked off right away. Oddly enough the episode with the hijinks in the bar ends with Bartlett thanking Charlie by inviting him into their poker game. The WW was so ahead of the pop-culture poker curve.

That's why they got the first show on Celebrity Poker Showdown! Ew, wasn't Kevin Pollack terrible with his weird, tiny hat? Dumb damn hat.

I think Kumar mentioned that one Joshua Malina/Molina (no memory) produces, but I keep thinking without actually checking it out that it must be two guys named Joshua Malina/Molina.

Because he was on SportsNight, that's why. It's. Not. Him.

Sorry, but he is my least favorite actor on the show. He could run off to help Bingo Bob write his memoirs and I would not be sad. So sorry. Yes, I will say that I loved Celebrity Poker Showdown from the moment I saw it, but that Spacey was HORRIBLE! and I enjoyed it all the more when Dave took over. I like Phil Gordon too, he's a tall, poker genius just like me. Well, you know, except for the poker genius part.

(I now attempt to impress minions by writing post like Czech girl.)

Quote:
but that Spacey was HORRIBLE! and I enjoyed it all the more when Dave took over.

Who is the Spacey of which you speak?

And ... okay. Yeah, I'm not wild about him on the West Wing, but he was great on SportsNight. He's been a pretty good little actor in things unSorkin. Ohhh, wait.

Remember in A Few Good Men, when Jack calls out to the desk private and says, "Call the President. Tell him we're surrendering... ." ? Remember that part? Josh played the desk private. I took like ten years to recognize him, just because he wasn't wearing his glasses, and he looks like he has a little tan.

Oh, and LA Liz cheers on Will Bailey just because he rages against Lovely Toby. Who, quite obviously, I love. He's lovely, when he's not mad at you. Anyway, this sort of cheering on business is unacceptable.

(Eheh, I totally didn't sustain the Czech girl post.)

First of all, poor Danny. Oh my god, I cannot believe that happened.

Second, how CUTE is Margaret looking these days!?

And finally, that whole awkward-defensive-irritated sequence with Will and CJ was priceless. I laughed so hard when he finished, after they tried to go through her doorway together: I'm ALWAYS like this!

I wanted to punch Josh in the face. And I almost never want to punch Josh in the face. And I miss Donna.

This week's episode was actually pretty good. Know why? Because it was SET. IN. THEWESTWING!

Come on, people, rock that formula! Look how good it still could be!

I agree. In hindsight, if this is the last year then I really wish they had stayed away from all this election stuff and just focused on the people we've been following for years. It's not the same when at best on a given episode you're lucky to have one scene with Toby, CJ, Bartlett, Donna, etc.

Allison Janney was on the Craig Ferguson show last night pitching a small movie she made with a friend. She talked about John Spencer some and said that they were trying to fix storylines to deal with his death. He asked her how they'll go on without him and she said "not well," but didn't address the show's future beyond that.
