to the creators of this fine message board.
I was wondering if you are thinking about changing the main banner at the top of these boards. I mean I like it and it's not terrible I just thought maybe for the new year we could look at some new images. Miss Cross seems to dominate (no pun intended) the thing. Maybe we could have a contest to come up with a new banner. In the words of Truffautfan..Thoughts?

Sing Sang,
I have been thinking about that actually...especially since the merger with RushmoreAcademy.com.
Itslikeimsayin is the guy that so generously made the banner that is up now. I'll contact him and see if he minds designing a new one for the new year.

That's cool. Not trying to make any waves or anything I just thought it might be nice to have a new one. Maybe I'll send in a sample jpeg if that's ok with ILIS.
You don't see many women who like Tabasco.

I'll work on one, too. I've got nothing better to do between now and when I finish making dinner.

This sounds like some sweet action...I'm in. Although if I haven't come up with anything in a week just go on without me.

Here's what I've decided...
I have had a few people submit designs and rough outlines.
I have also had a couple of people say that they wanted to try their hand at designing the new banner.

If at all possible, please try to send submissions to me by the end of Friday the 17th. I will post the ones that I have in a seperate link so that people can vote on them. I will try to have the banners up sometime on Saturday so that everyone can look at them. I won't put any names on the banners, so everyone will be voting blindly, so to speak.

I can't wait to see what else you guys have to offer.

Hey everyone,
I just wanted to remind you to get the banner designs to me by the end of the day on Friday. I will probably e-mail all of you that have expressed an interest as well...

Thanks!
Corey

I've been a busy bee this week with freelance stuff at night, but if i can come up with something board-worthy by Friday, I'll send it your way.

This was our cream-filled crumpet. I took a deep breath and prayed a little pray.

Rock on.
If my mailbox fills up, try back in a few hours. It is pretty empty right now, but it may fill up by Friday. I am going to try my best to keep it cleaned out.

Don't know if this is possible here, but I recently visited a Phoenix Suns message board where the administrator mentioned that he had some sort of program that randomly selected a banner from however many they have created for that board. Every time you refreshed or went to another page, a different banner showed up. I thought that was kind of cool, especially if we get several cool submissions.

That's a great idea, ilis. Does EZBoard allow you to do that, though?

By the way, I did one and I'm excited to see all the others!

This was our cream-filled crumpet. I took a deep breath and prayed a little pray.
Edited by: Wait A Second Sally at: 1/18/03 7:25:37 am

Bless your heart for mentioning the Suns, ILIS, my Night Ranger song has now been replaced by the little go-to-commercial tune. Whew. Much better.

That's a great idea, by the way.

Sal, is there a hidden martini on your border? :p hiccup! There was NO martini last night, by the way. Tsk. Just not my week!
