Actually, I have heard of them, and about the only thing I find remotely enjoyable about them is the fact they covered Exile on Main Street. The problem is, even with those songs, they sound like shit. I'm not a fan of them at all, and I think it's insane to try and push some agenda saying they were better than the Stooges or whatever. I'm not a musical genius, I don't pretend to be, but I do know lots about music and constantly listen to it.
My DVDs

TS--I happen to know a good deal about music, as you might have noticed, but I haven't listened to Pussy Galore yet, and don't own any Stooges. Does this make me an idiot? There's an amazing amount of music to be listened to, and it's nearly impossible to listen to every so-called "seminal" band (One of the most overused terms in music journalism). Have you listened to the Free Design? This Heat? Brise-Glace? What about Steve Reich? Iannis Xenakis? Karlheinz Stockhausen? (Oops, that's not rock music). Okay, how about Huggy Bear? Clikatat Ikatowi? Chromatics? Silver Apples? Van Dyke Parks? David Axelrod? I've listened to all of them. Hooray for me.

Tumbling has never even been to a show, just so you all know.

Do you not lash out at me if I don't like some of the music you listen to simply because I occasionally post on the "Indierock" board? (A board which seems ridiculously obsessed with indieness.) I'm only 21, but I've experienced enough elitism and snobbery in the Seattle music community to know that it's pointless and petty. I enjoy hearing a lot of what you have to say, but it's really hard to respect your point of view when your head is lodged so firmly up your ass. Attacking people like this is just masturbatory; wipe the cum off your keyboard and go see a fucking show.

Oh no slint. You have revealed my dark secret. Shame on me for not having money or a ride for a concert! You treat me like I'm some meathead ("Oops, that's not rock"). And I am not an elitist. And I am not attacking because you do not 'like' and act. I do it because you do not know them.

And what is cum? :rolleyes

TS, you don't attack the ignorant (like me...when you posted about Pussy Galore, I started thinking about a lesbian pilot who gets corrupted by a certain British spy). You educate the ignorant.

On another note, if you ever do not know about anything that anybody on this board talks about, do not complain if others attack you.

Umm, I don't recall insulting Pussy Galore and point me in the direction of a post that illustrates my musical ignorance. Anyway, does it really matter if someone hates a band you like? Learn to deal with other people's opinions.

Kids, kids, please. Let's not fight.

And if Pussy Galore has anything to do with Jon Spencer, then no thank you ma'am. Jon Spencer just irritates me.

Sorry Shaggy. I meant to direct every sentence after the first to Raleigh. I have been a tad of an ass lately...

I definitely like Fun House the Best

I do however think that Lust For Life is not to be denied in Iggy's catalogue - There are definitely songs that you wanna skip past - but man the vibe on that album is really unstoppable -

Any other opinions of Iggy's solo material? I only have the first two - don't know if any of the rest is worth my time????????
