this is for Luke, who hasn't had a post dedicated to him in a few days, so I thought I would give him a shout-out, haiku-style.
ahem.

Lo! Thou art yon Luke
with lantern jaw so proud
the force is strong in you. Blah.

That last part was more shout out to Count Blah on Greg the Bunny. I had a hard time doing that whole 5-7-5 deal...let's see you do better!...blah. <p>" He flew the coop while we were sleepin'!"</p>

Shoeshine, I can't believe it. . . I had been thinking of doing a haiku thread! There's a website, which I'm too lazy to look up, that does movie review haikus. I thought it would be fun to do Wesworld haikus. So, yes, I will pick up the gauntlet you threw down, Shoeshine, and offer up my own haiku. It will be, of course, in honor of my beloved Dudley.

(Uh-hmm hmm)

DUDLEY

"What time is it now?"
I answer, but he just asks
"What was I saying?"

I like this thread. I've been researching haiku for a theatre project that I'm working on, and there are many rules for haiku - most of them contradictory. Because of this, you can take which rules you like, and leave which rules you don't. A lot of people who compose haiku in English don't use the 5-7-5 form. In fact, there's a good argument that the 5-7-5 (which works because of the way the Japanese language is structured) is superfluous in English haiku. I, personally, enjoy the challenge of a 5-7-5, and the only reason I bring all of this up, is to let Raleigh know that his haiku is still valid. (And I really liked it.)

I've just spent the last little time trying to write an addition. I'm being too self-censored. I'll try again later.
