She has completed two new films, one by Harold Ramis, one by John Dahl.

"When I was a little kid I wanted to know what caused thunder."

Just saw "Dazed & Confused". Great film! :rock
"You know, that's what I like about these high school girls. I keep getting older, they stay the same age." :hat
Matthew McConaughey was great in the film, he had some awesome lines.

"When I was a little kid I wanted to know what caused thunder."

Was that the first time you've seen Dazed, Dignan?

I love that film.

Yup, it was the first time. I bought it because I only heard good things about it and then I watched it twice the day I got it. But the guy who played Mitch was a bit annoying.

"When I was a little kid I wanted to know what caused thunder."

Typo that reminds me that I call this movie "Citronella Man."

How was that one, Loraxeon, and I apologize for misspelling your name for the 19,000th time.

Almost Famous. May be Crowe's best film.

I never liked kids. They're like small drunk adults.

It was good highwaters. It is schmatlzy (almost every review i've read uses the word, and so will I), but it's just so damn good at being so. Crowe is fantastic, and Zellwigger(?) isn't bad. Giammatti is increible as well.
It's not the most orignal thing in the world, but it works well.
______

See, I don't like either of the leads. I tend to like Ron Howard when he's not pretending he "gets" mental illness and genius, though! (Gee. Ever the generous know-it-all, I am. Also apparently Yoda, I am. How embarrassing.)

My dad and his brother were hollering, "What's that new boxing movie called?!" this morning, and I said, "Citronella Man?!" They weren't amused. But I was! :)

Smaltzy. Hm.

Maybe I'll just rent When They Were Kings and call it a day.

So I thought about Hurricane once, too, in the past week! Maxie and Loraxie on the highwaters wavelength and reviewing. Love this place, saving me time like this.

Hey, max? Denzel was good, yah?

"sin city"...

i liked it visually, and i really liked the voice overs, but overall it seemed kinda dumb. i dunno what the big deal is all about. i'd rather read a comic book, if it comes down to it.

plus, it was totally wrong to see alexis bledel as anything but rory. i kept thinking "hey, does lorelei know rory is a whore called becky during the night?"

and clive owen just hurts... he HURTS me...

reality had met me, such a short time ago, in such and ugly shape, that i have no wish to come in contact with it again. somewhere in me a dark fear was still crouching and i took refuge within the fantastic like a distressed child in his book of fairy tales. i did not want to look ahead, and not at all to look back.
