I think you messed up the tree line.

They funny part was:

Max I heard you wanted to me here? You said you wanted to work things out?

- Oh yeahI was going to try and have that tree over there fall on you.

I think I still messed it up a little.

Actually Blume answered something like: "It would've flattened me like a pancake." <p>------------------
"Never in my wildest imagination did I ever dream I would have sons like these."

Remember how Max pretends to "not remember" names of people he's not interested in or hates? Like the doctor-friend of Rosmary. It's mean and funny at the same time.

Although it breaks my heart every time when I see that scene where he meets Margaret Yang the first time and says "See you, Ms. Chang". If I was that guy, I would have remembered her name right from the beginning. She would have been my Rushmore.

Man, that sounds crazy.

Doesn't sound crazy at all.

I'm not sure if we've ever discussed this before here at Yankee Racers, but your post made me think of it...is Max Margaret Yang's Rushmore? Is this so obvious yet for some reason I've never thought of it before? Or am I just overthinking this one?

she's much more like him, and interested in the things max is doing, unlike miss cross, whose friendship max annexed, as it were.

ah! there's so many!

I like it when Miss Cross is telling him about her thesis on Central America and he goes:
"
Max: oh.. central america and what not.

 the way he says it also when he tells miss cross:

Max: "Rushmore was my life, now you are"
that cracks me up everytime, the way he says it likes he's trying to imitate Tom Cruise ala Jerry Maguire.

and another line he does that is so funny is when Dirk asks him if he gave his mother a handjob
he says:

Max: "Who told you that Goddamned Lie?"

just ... the way he says it just makes me laugh.
