I thought I'd post this, especially for older members. In case you haven't noticed, I recently altered my username. Slightly. It used to read "Kumarstouch." Our tireless leader, Edward Appleby, used to have is handle in lower case letters as well.

Unless I'm mistaken, any user can change his or her handle at any time by entering the User Control Panel (near the top of the page on the left). Once in the UCP, click on the "Profile" tab and then "Edit account settings." If I remember correctly, I also had to change my password when I changed my username.

The reason I made a post about this is because when I was looking through our archives for the old rank list, I stumped across the post from Dignan88 on January 14, 2004:Well sorry it took so long, D88, but you finally have an answer. Though, sadly, somebody else just registered "Dignan" a couple of weeks ago.

Now if more some reason you can't change it, that only mods can, let me know and I'll do it for you.

Edward Appleby's edit: If you do change your name, please post your new name in this thread so we know who you are.

I can confirm that all registered users should be able to change their handles, as long as the name you want is not taken. A change should cause no technical glitches -- as all of your posts will immediately reflect your new handle.

contull, when you are in "edit account settings," what do you see? There should be 6 fields:

Username
E-mail address
Confirm e-mail address
New password
Confirm password
Current password

You should be able to edit/type in any of those fields.

I can't change mine either... It lets me type in all the other fields but my user name is in bold letters and isn't in a box like all the others.

Try again. (I think I fixed it.)

Thanks. I got it. I decided to take highwater's suggestion and go with Miss Chang instead of the misspelled Margraet Yang.
