There's always a good job done for getting Wes' film's soundtracks out-- It's getting closer to the release date of the film and I still haven't seen or read any news if the TDL soundtrack is in the works. Has anyone heard anything?

Hollywood is a Disney company, so I presume it's a no go for the soundtrack... hmm...

It seems like they're in a real rush to get this thing out (the movie, that is)...

I have no doubt somebody will release a soundtrack. Whoever Fox Searchlight uses usually probably. Wes' soundtracks are far too successful for their not to be one released. There may be some publishing rights they have to clear up with that Ray and Merchant/Ivory music though, which could delay it. Or maybe they're waiting to see how the movie does. Anyway, I'm pretty sure something will be out by december at the latest.

I didn't mean no go on a soundtrack, just no go on Hollywood Records.

It's going to be ABKCO (the Stones' label for those of you keeping track).

I decided to check by chance on amazon and found there's a release date for the TDL soundtrack! Looks like it's coming out for September 25th. Here's the link for if you would like to preorder:

http://www.amazon.com/Darjeeling-Limited-Various-Artists/dp/B000VAT032/ref=sr_1_9/102-7328335-9717735?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1188500297&sr=8-9

If this has been posted somewhere else, I'm sorry! haha But if you didn't know, now you do!

i was thinking the whole time the other list was the CD listing.
how did you get the entire film soundtrack list?

something tells me the Stones won't be on it - they didn't make it on his first 3 (at least i don't think 2000 Man is on BR's) and i ended up buying all three RS albums with the songs because of it.
