oh yes. introducing robert de niro with "jumpin' jack flash" is one of the greatest moments in film history.

anyone know how poster and wes work together? i mean does wes say what music he wants and poster checks out it's availability or does wes say what kinda music would fit and poster sets out to find the appropriate song?

okay is anybody like obsessed with "typewriter tip tip tip"? Gosh, that is a good song. first time, I heard it it was like so funny to me, but now, it's actually good in that wacky kind of way. I was playing it all loud and I was all like,"Imagine somebody was walking by my dorm and they're like, "who's listening to indian music?" LOL!

I was just telling someone I am obsessed with "Typewriter, tip, tip, tip." My blog post the other day was called "Keyboard, tip, tip, tip."

I saw 3 copies at the local Hasting's, but I"m going to wait until I see the film first.

22) “Les Champs-Élysées” — Joe Dassin
This track name seems familiar. Has Wes used it before (or maybe it's in a French New Wave film I may have seen)?

I know I saw that blog post, and I was like "Do I dare listen to that song?", and I did and I instantly laughed and now I'm all singing it on the street, "typewritter tip, tip tip", Cannot wait how they put in the film. It seems to me like carnival happy music.

win the Soundtrack contest.
in the past you had to physically go and pick up the CD, so this really applies to people living in driving distance to Dallas, Tx (i actually won a TLA soundtrack but never claimed it as i had already bought one and it's a 2 hr drive). with TDL not playing so wide, if i win, i'll prob drive there and pick it up after seeing the film.

(copied and pasted from e-mail)

Enter for a chance to win a CD soundtrack of THE DARJEELING LIMITED, courtesy of Fox Searchlight Pictures and Abkco Records!
You must answer the following 2 questions correctly to be eligible to win:

1.) According to the Fox Searchlight website, what is the title of the Kinks' album that originally included all the Kinks songs heard on The Darjeeling Limited soundtrack?

2.) What 3 films of Wes Anderson have used Rolling Stones songs prior to THE DARJEELING LIMITED?

PLEASE DO NOT HIT REPLY! Send your response via email to claytonl@landmarktheatres.com before Monday, October 8. Please write THE DARJEELING LIMITED CD - Dallas, TX in the email subject line. 8 winners will be chosen at random from correct responses. *****IF YOU HAVE WON A DVD OR CD FROM LANDMARK THEATRES IN THE LAST 90 DAYS YOU ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR THIS PRIZE.

Hey, I was wondering if I'm the only one who has a shortended version of "Typewriter tip, tip..."?

I downloaded a version before I "got" the soundtrack last week, from the Playlist blog, I think, and it's about a minute longer, and featured an instrumental intro before the singing starts, and on fox searchlight's sight, the version that plays starts about thirty seconds after the Playlist one, but on the soundtrack, mine starts right at the first vocal. Am I the only one? What's the deal?

Also, I noticed that the version of "Where do you go to my lovely?" on the soundtrack is 4:38, which is how it's listed on Sarstedt's album, but the Playlist version is 5:19, and that's the length listed on Sarstedt's greatest hits album. I'm confused by the multiple versions of songs.
