I got a copy of it not long ago from one of our distinguished members here on the board (I don't want to say who, if he doesn't care, he can chime in) and it is pretty funny. It would be nice to see a show like this on network TV, but when "Inside Schwartz" is the wackiest thing you've got going, I don't think HVAJ would quite float. It's a shame. I really would love to see where Ben Stiller could have taken it. You know it would have gotten better and better. I mean look at the first Seinfeld, it was atrocious when you compare it to some of the later ones, it was just so awkward feeling, sort of like HVAJ. I'm not comparing the two shows, I was just using Seinfeld as an example we've all seen. I really would like to see network TV take a chance every once in a while though. I mentioned http://www.bobanddavid.com
on a different thread, but you should check it out and read the section where Bob answers some questions. He talks quite candidly about how tough it is even at HBO for the higher ups to show some faith and take a chance. Interesting and insightful reading.
