is there only one Bottle Rocket soundtrack? I wanted to buy it, but when I looked at the track list it was not what I expected. Don't get me wrong, I love Mark Mothersbaugh, but some of the songs I went crazy for are not on it. Just checking before I commit. <p>"On the run from Johnny Law. Ain't no trip to Cleveland!"</p>

yeah, that's it unfortunately.
lots of songs missing. i think it's only one or 2 songs, and the rest is just the score (which is good, you're right, but there's so many great songs).

back in the day, before there were fun informative groups like this, i searched for weeks trying to find the name of the song that's playing as Anthony runs down the hall for his rendezvous with Inez. (it's 'alone again or' by the band Love by the way).

i bought a crzy Love cd and listened to that song over and over and over. it's good.

that's actually one of the songs I loved. it is frustrating when songs that were in key moments of a film are not avaiable on the soundtrack released. I understand that certain bands (cough-Rolling Stones) don't let any of their songs appear on soundtracks, but it is irritating nonetheless.
Thanks for your help, hellacious. I knew I could count on you...you look great, by the way, did you get a haircut?

you're welcome shoeshine. ummm...you lost me on the haircut though (?)

this is a tad off topic, but i wonder if it is just urban legend that the Stones don't allow their songs to be put on soundtracks. i had always heard this too, and would spread that info around. but then someone posted on here somewhere about the Stones having a song on the "Blow" soundtrack, which they do.

so now i don't know what's up. maybe they do allow their songs to be licensed for s/t's, but only for a billion $.

I guess you are right and it's all about money. Wes mentions in the TRT commentary that they had to pay 'so many' dollars to have another Stones track in the Richie/Margot tent scene.

I think it is a bit shit but I never liked the Stones for sueing an indie band that sampled Ruby Tuesday.

<p>Dynamite, pole vaulting, laughing gas, choppers ! Can you see how incredible this is going to be ?</p>
